The Lakes of Whippoorwill Grove
The Lakes in Whippoorwill Grove consist of five (5) bodies of water:
Lake Crane (100 Acres)
Lake Cormorant (34 Acres)
Lake Heron (27 Acres)
Lake Egret (10 Acres)
Loon Pond (2 Acres)
All of our residents have access to the lakes for fishing from the levees and boating with non-gasoline powered boats, kayaks, canoes, or paddle boats. Each of the lakes have a boat launch for easy access. (Refer to the lot map for their locations).
It is required that you have your WGI flag visible when either fishing or boating on the lakes because the lakes/ponds are maintained for the residents' benefit only (guests are OK, but please give them your flag for proper ID while utilizing these areas).
Fishing Galore
Our Lakes have bass, blue-gill perch and fresh water catfish to name a few. We update the lakes annually with grass carp fish to help control the vegetation growth. See the rules and regulations for further fishing guidelines.
